  1. Supine bridge: good for boosting your core and posterior chain strength. These are the structures at the back of the leg and spine, especially in the muscles of the buttocks.
  1. Bird dog: for core strength and weight bearing to both arms and legs.
  1. Sit to stand: for strength in the core and legs and improve weight shifting and balance.
  1. Hip abduction: strengthen legs and core muscles; also improve pelvis stability.
  1. Hip flexion: Strengthening the hip and core and practising alternating coordination.
  1. Forward trunk bends: improve core strength and help with transfers and weight shifting.
  1. Lateral truck bends: maximise core stability; improve balance.
  1. Table circle: improve strength and coordination in the arms; promote neuroplasticity, which is the reorganisation of nerves and brain cells.
  1. Shoulder openers: improve strength and range of motion (the capability of a joint to go through its spectrum of movements). Also, prevent frozen shoulders and shoulder subluxation.
  1. Wrist curls: Improve strength in forearms and legs and range of motion.

Repeat each exercise for 10 – 15 minutes, 2-3 times/day, and 3-5 days/week. Perform only those exercises you feel good doing and know to be safe. If you feel pain, tell your doctor or caregiver.
